Holy Trinity Preschool offers popular preschool programs designed to help young children prepare for success in kindergarten and beyond. We strive to help our students achieve goals of social, emotional, and academic growth in a nurturing Christian environment. For over 35 years, HTPS has been helping preschoolers thrive in their transition from home to school while making friends and having plenty of fun.
Each of our classes is taught by a teacher holding a degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education with help from an adult teacher’s aide. Our faculty is experienced, loving, and dedicated to helping their students succeed. Enrollment is open to preschool children aged 3 to 5, and a variety 2-, 3-, and 5-day per week programs is available September through May. Optional Lunch Bunch and Mid-Day Enrichment programs are also available when your child is ready to further expand her or his horizons.
**New this year we have added Early Start Preschool for students aged 2 1/2 through 3 1/2. Early Start Preschool runs January through June and is for our youngest learners.**
Holy Trinity Preschool admits students of any race, color, national origin, ethnic group, or religion. We’re members of the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association and the Delaware County Early Childhood Educators Association. If you’d like to learn more about the opportunities and options offered at Holy Trinity Preschool, please email Carol Umberger, HTPS Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 610-876-1721.
Through Crossroads, Holy Trinity offers childhood enrichment programs to help fill the long-standing shortage of high quality after-school care in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. Started in September 2007, our before- and after-school activity program is available from 6:45-8:45 am and 3:00-6:00 pm daily. Students in grades K-5, including those in the K-Club program (before and after kindergarten) of Holy Trinity Preschool, are eligible to attend.
Just as Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is at the crossroads of Routes 252 and 320, Crossroads is crossroads for students from local elementary schools to gather. Transportation to and from Nether Providence, Wallingford, and Swarthmore-Rutledge Elementary Schools is provided by the school district.
Crossroads is designed to be a personal enrichment experience for children to make new friends and have fun in their off-school hours. It’s not tutoring or a highly structured program – the school day is long enough already. In the mornings, a nourishing breakfast is available, along with time for games, crafts, reading, and teacher-led activities. In the afternoons, an after-school snack is followed by recess, as well as time for homework, free choice and teacher-led activities. Crossroads will be open on school days and offers extended and full day programming to complement WSSD in-service and conference times.
Crossroads has affordable and flexible scheduling options, from 2 to 5 day enrollments. For more information, contact Sharon Snow, Crossroads Director by email at DirectorCrossroads@gmail.com , or by phone at 610-876-1721.
