Bear Creek Camp Bear Creek is a wonderful 300 acre outdoor camp & conference center in the Poconos run by SEPA and the Northeastern PA Synod.  It has a wide variety of programs including a large summer camp program for 1st-12th graders, and numerous special events for families, women, men, church retreats, etc.  You don't have to be Lutheran or a member of a church to participate in activities at Bear Creek.

The Book of ConcordThe Book of Concord is a collection of the foundation documents of the Lutheran church.  This site hosts a traditional translation (from the original German) for free.  Other translations are available from book sellers like Amazon or Augsburg Fortress.
Lutheran Hymnals Online An interesting site providing much of the music, lyrics, and scores of various Lutheran hymnals for free download.  While not as comprehensive as Cyber Hymnal, this site collects in one place the material from various Lutheran hymnals.

St. Matthews Lutheran - Springfield
Reformation Lutheran - Media

If Holy Trinity is not convenient for you, perhaps one of these other ELCA churches would serve your needs. Or, use the handy church-finder at the ELCA website.

Christianity On The Web

The internet is an amazing source of information on virtually any topic, including spirituality and Christianity.  The challenge, of course, is telling thegood (factually & biblically & theologically correct, rational, useful, ...) information from the bad (incorrect, misleading, irrational, dangerous, ...).  Even trying to define good and bad in this context leads to heated debate.  Ever since God was born a man and walked among us, people have disagreed about the details of how He reveals himself to us and what, exactly, He wants us to do.

That said, there is strong agreement about the basic principles taught by Jesus and what it means to be His disciple.  This is all revealed in the Bible and is accessible to anyone who studies the scriptures and prayerfully asks God's Holy Spirit to guide them.

The following links are to selected websites that you may find helpful in your spiritual journey.  They are not meant to be comprehensive or systematic, but just some good sites to start exploring the wonderful blessings of walking with Jesus.  If you know of other sites you think we should list, please feel free to send them along.

    Crosswalk

Christianity.com
These non-denominational online Christian communities can be a good place to begin or deepen your exploration of Christianity.  They offer a wide variety of features, including introductory information, devotional materials, forums, blogs, chat, surveys, search directories, specialized databases, and live audio & video.  These commercial sites are very visually-appealing and user-friendly
Major Christian Denominations This site maintains a list of links to websites of the major Christian denominations in the US.  Browsing these links can give a sense of the wondrous diversity and vibrancy of the church of Jesus Christ.
Religious affiliations in the US Whatever the impression you may get from the press and the media, the US is a very religious nation.  Here's a wealth of statistical data on what we believe and to what religions and denominations we belong.
    WFIL AM 560

WVCH AM 740
These local Christian radio stations offer a wide variety of inspirational programs.  Most of the programs are available on the web for listening or download if you miss a show or want to find a new favorite.  The radio station websites have lots of other information and links for Christians in the tri-state area.
E-Sword Bible Resource Need a Bible?  E-sword is a computer-based document system that offers numerous translations of the Bible, commentaries, glossaries, devotionals, maps, study guides, books, etc.  Best of all, it's free!  Just download the main program along with whichever documents you'd like.  It's a great way to compare translations, search the bible, read fascinating commentaries & devotionals, and much more.
American Bible Society The ABS has a number of Bible study tools that might be of interest if you're wondering what's in the Bible and how best to study it.

    Leadership U
(Christian Leadership Ministries)
Leadership U offers a variety of resources for Christian faculty, but is great for seekers also.  It's a good source of Christian apologetics - intelligent, rational arguments for why Christianity is true and makes sense.  Despite what modern skeptics imply, you don't have to check your brains at the door when you become a Christian.  The Christian path is perfectly compatible with modern science, politics, etc., and continues to be a haven for intelligent, productive people all over the world.
The Cyber Hymnal Cyber Hymnal is a wonderful archive of thousands of Christian hymns & gospel music.  The site has midi music, lyrics, scores, histories, pictures & more. The songs are searchable and most are public domain and can be downloaded for free.
